Roberts Cove Germanfest

Always held the first full weekend in October. This festival is family oriented with a German atmosphere and is unlike any other festival around.    Located in the middle of peaceful country area, with friendly folks, fun and entertainment for all.

Great music line up with over 50 bands and 76 hours of free music, crafts such as jewelry, pottery, photography, wood furniture, Houma Indian craft, pine needle basket weaving, stained glass, musical instruments, silk weaving and more.  Always good food and demos! Come join the fun!



International Rice Festival

One of the area’s oldest festivals, nearly 80 years!  Enjoy two parades: the Children’s Parade, held on Friday and the Grand Parade, held on Saturday.  It also boast of a diverse musical line up, this year headliner is Tracy Byrd, as well as local artists.  Carnival rides, Rice Eating Contest, Fiddle and Accordion Contest, Senior Citizen’s Ball, Outdoor Arts and Crafts, rice threshing demonstration & more.

Enjoy a Sunday Fais-do-do at Vermilionville in Lafayette

Guests at our bed and breakfast in Lafayette can attend a Fais-do-do (Cajun dance party) at Vermilionville every Sunday from 1-4. Enjoy dancing and great Cajun music, as a live band performs and a good time is had by all. Located in Lafayette right near the airport.

While you’re there, stop by the Acadian Cultural Center near Vermilionville. There is a film to watch explaining the expulsion of the Acadians from Nova Scotia, as well as other interesting things to enjoy…and entrance is FREE!

Enjoy a Cajun Acoustic Jam Session Near our Lafayette Bed and Breakfast!

We love music at Maison D’Memoire and we’d like to tell you where you can find some great Cajun and Creole style music to enjoy with your entire family. 

Every Friday evening a different band is featured at Begnaud House in Scott, LA at 6 PM. This heritage visitor’s center is a great place to bring the family, meet some wonderful people and enjoy a free concert!
